Day 06- Favorite super hero and why

Day 06- Favorite super hero and why

Abstract_34

To be honest, I’m not much of a super hero girl. I’ve never read any comics, I don’t know all the stories and all the characters and what not. I watched the spiderman series and X-men series when I was younger but even that I didn’t do very often. So I’m going to base this answer completely on the recent films that have come out and the things I have watched when I was younger. Based on that I’m going to have to say..

The Blue Lantern Corps

I would want to be part of the Blue Lantern Corps. But, Emma, didn’t you just say that you didn’t know any of this stuff? No, I don’t. I do however know that there are 8 other corps besides the Green Lantern Corps and I would want to be a .. Lantern? I guess? I don’t know.

As I understand it, each Green Lantern possesses a power ring with which he (or she) can manifest whatever comes to mind. The difference between the Blue Corps and the Green Corps is that Green is powered by Will and Blue is powered by Hope. And, I am a firm believer of the idea that Hope is the strongest thing in the universe.

I also just want to be able to create whatever I want.

So there. Very shallow answer. I admit to not being very knowledgeable about this subject 😛 Don’t ask me any hard questions.

  1. How informative; never knew there were other Lantern Corps. I’m not much of an American comic book reader either. If X-Men hadn’t come out with the movie series and the X-Men Evolution cartoon series which I love, I would barely know they exist.

However, I do love Japanese comics; or manga, as they are actually called.

    1. Yea I didn’t either at first but my ex-boyfriend went all ape-shit for that stuff so I learned a bit here and there 😛

I used to follow the W.I.T.C.H. comics when I was younger, that’s manga isn’t it? My brother keeps telling me about all the great manga out there but I have never really gotten into it 🙂

      1. I’ve seen the cartoon series for W.I.T.C.H.; it only had two seasons here in the United States, what a shame. Although, I don’t think the comic is a manga because it is from Italy and it reads like a regular comic.

  2. Wanting to be able to create whatever you want out of thin air is very cool and not shallow at all. And I agree: Hope is an incredibly strong force.

    1. Aw, thanks! The idea is just so awesome.. Anything you can think of and *poof* it’s there 🙂

And to quote Andy Dufresne: “Remember, Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies”.
